Red Wines |
|
Barolo | Our Barolo achieves the balance between deep, concentrated raw power and gracefulness. Drunk young, it is deep and dark, but it will acquire considerable smoothness with six months to 1 years aging. $190 |
Cabernet Sauvignon | Cabernet Sauvignon - The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes produce deeply concentrated, pure-fruited wines. Considered by many as the best red wine in the world, this thick-skinned grape gives a deep purple/black-colored must, which ferments out to a powerfully full-bodied, cassis, herbaceous and cedar-scented wine. $195 |
Chianti | Our Chianti captures the chunky deep fruit, lively acidity and smooth-drinking vinosity that has made this wine one of the world's meal-time favorites. Great young but best after three to six months aging. $185 |
Merlot | Merlot produces soft, easy-drinking, fruity wines with plum-scented black-berry fruit. This Merlot has a mass of sweet fruit initially with concentrated, jammy, blueberry overtones. While good young, it can be a bit harsh initially; a few months of aging will round out the wine, and it will improve for at least a year. $195 |
Pinot Noir | Pinot Noir produces wines that seduce, not overpower, with a complex red fruit nose of currants, raspberries and strawberries. Good young, will smooth out to a noble, velvety maturity with some aging. $180 |
Syrah | Syrah will make a gushingly-fruity, black-pepper, dark-berry flavored wine that will develop an intriguing leathery overtone with a little aging. Full-bodied, hold for three to six months after bottling. $190 |
Vieux Chateau du Roi | A deep, rich, red wine blended of different varietals chosen to impart a deeply-colored, spicy, peppery fruitiness. Age at least three months; will improve for at least a year. $195 |
Zinfandel | This classic style is a fairly full-bodied wine, where the sheer purity of the blackberry fruit is allied with a hint of spiciness. A noble, yet fun wine to drink. Good young, best after six months aging. $195 |
White Wines | |
Chardonnay | Chardonnay is a full-bodied, award-winning white wines with a buttery, exotically fruit-tinged (bananas, pineapples, pears, peaches) elegance. Clean, crisp and abundantly fruity, Chardonnay takes on hints of vanilla and butterscotch when oak-fermented and aged. Age six months and up. $195 |
Chenin Blanc | The fruity dry whites of California are characterized by their rich, floral fruit and crisp acidity. This wine has a medium mouthfeel, with lemony and honeyed overtones. Age six months to one year. $180 |
Pinot Grigio | Pinot Grigio is a favorite among Northern Italians, and with good reason: it has a delicate bouquet and light, almost spritzy lime mouthfeel, crisp, flavorful with a soft dry finish. $185 |
Reisling | This wine has lots of body and plenty of the trademark Riesling refreshing green apple finese. Similar to Gewürztraminer, with less spice and floral perfume. Hold for three months after bottling. $180 |
Sauvignon Blanc | Sauvignon Blanc is renowned for its particular gooseberry, grassy, herbacious nose. It quenches like no other white wine through the hottest days of summer. Minimal aging required. $185 |
White Zinfandel | White Zinfandel, or Zin Blush, has an effusive strawberry aroma and soft, lightly fruity mouthfeel. Served quite cold, There is surely no wine that says summer better than "White Zin". Drink yesterday... it's great young! $180 |
